What is Implantology?

Dental implants are a permanent oral solution that provides greater quality of life to those who suffer from tooth loss.

Missing teeth are replaced with full or partial fixed dentures, thus restoring the patient's aesthetic and masticatory functions.

Treatment stages

Oral rehabilitation with dental implants includes the following steps:

Case study
Through X-ray examinations, among other means of diagnosis
Which consists of placing the implants
Crown placement
Or permanent prosthesis
Routine consultations
Types of Implant
There are several types of dental treatments depending on different needs:
Single Implants
Single implants are indicated in cases of partial loss of one or more teeth in which pieces of tooth still exist, effectively replacing each lost tooth. The placement of Dental Implants is a procedure that has a success rate above 95%.
Fixed Dental Prostheses
The use of total or partial fixed prostheses is an advantageous procedure for the patient, as it allows the use of a fixed provisional prosthesis during the period of osseointegration (integration of the implant into the bone). After this period, the permanent fixed prosthesis is placed, which, with due care, lasts a lifetime.
Immediate Loading Implants
This technique allows the use of a provisional prosthesis fixed on the implant, without requiring the placement of a removable prosthesis. In many cases the provisional prosthesis can be placed on the same day as the surgery. However, this procedure is only possible if the dentist confirms that there is stability in fixing the implant to the bone.
Zygomatic Implants
This type of implant is best for patients who have lost bone mass and who, in most cases, want to recover their full dentition. Zygomatic implants are an alternative to conventional implants for patients who suffer from maxillary atrophy and want to reverse tooth loss.
